Day 7: Feeling Frisky

Day 1 = Success

Okay, I drank half a coffee with a dash of condensed milk. Let's face facts--I'm not doing this cold turkey. I drink one cup of coffee in the mornings and I work early shifts so unless I can find a decent vegan coffee creamer, this is my exception to the rules. I'm still trying to talk myself in to allowing goat cheese in my salads. I can do that, right?

New project

Sketched my favorite hound during some downtime at the shelter today. This is Bandit.

He unfolded his arms when I brought out my camera but his arms are always crossed it's one of my favorite things about him and he is always this mellow, I don't even bother putting him on a leash when I take him out. You can find me chilling right here with this boy at the end of my shifts.

New Project

I had a request to draw my friend and her 3 sisters as fairies in the woods and this is what I have come up with so far. Landscape is not something I typically work on so it has been a real challenge and something I have put off for too long so I am challenging myself to just do it now. I have 3 friends requesting tree pieces at the moment so it's time to step out of my comfort zone. I don't know if it is the familiar woods but so far it feels like home.

Lyrical Dancer Intro

My third dancer to add the the collection. I have been trying to get the pose right for days now and I'm relieved to say I finally I have one I'm pleased with. I'm making her outfit a little more relaxed than the belly and flamenco dancers, as if she is just practicing alone in a studio. If it is styled right, there is something that I love so much about casual dance wear. I might give her a big scarf around her wrist or something. Still rough drafting so stay tuned...
