I was having a really hard time bringing myself to post the finished product today because the camera really doesn't do the picture justice, but as my good friend Carlee put it "some things just look better in person rather than in pictures. For example, us." Well if that doesn't make me feel better, I don't know what will so here it is, a month of my life gone into the woods work & I couldn't be happier with it.

I think I am going to re-design the bark in all of the trees which is going to be such a pain but I think it will be worth it. I'm really loving this one. Happy Tuesday!

At this point I sort of have a vision to where this is going but at the same time it's a mystery to me.

New Project

I had a request to draw my friend and her 3 sisters as fairies in the woods and this is what I have come up with so far. Landscape is not something I typically work on so it has been a real challenge and something I have put off for too long so I am challenging myself to just do it now. I have 3 friends requesting tree pieces at the moment so it's time to step out of my comfort zone. I don't know if it is the familiar woods but so far it feels like home.
