Sneak Peak

In my opinion, there is nothing worse as an artist than a case of writers block. I find it ironic that it hit me hard on a project centered on focusing...but if you're like me, then in most cases, that creativity eventually hits you again and once this happens, there is nothing stopping you. That being said, I would like to share a sneak peak of my current "Focus." One that has been challenging and exhilarating.

Skull

Inspired by my sister, Forest, my first skull was created. It's no wonder skulls are so in and fashionable, I came to learn that I enjoy making skulls just as much as I enjoy wearing them. The card is about 4in x 8in and the larger skull is printed on 100% cotton.

Mark Twain + Aristotle

So this girl walked into a bar...and met her first client! True story.

This is really special to me because it is my first commission piece. It's one thing when people compliment my work but when they are actually willing to pay for it? It means so much...

The final product (sorry for the glare).

This Race is A Long One

I like this quote a lot. It was Carlee, one of my closest friends, who brought it to my attention and I think it has a lot of importance to it.
It is easy get caught up in comparing yourself and competing with others in this crazy world. Remember to take a breath, slow down and enjoy the ride.

& please don't take yourself too seriously along the way.

Down

This is the portion of my blog where things start to get a little saucy...

Kiss

You see, when I tell you I will put any idea given to me on paper, I mean any idea. After my roommate saw "Down" she decided she wanted a piece of the action. To her request, Kiss was born...
Unfortunately, when I showed her the end result she changed her mind and wanted something a little more PG to hang on her wall. It's okay! My way of thinking when it comes to the nature of things is not typically American.

Personally, I love it & I don't know about you ladies, but I can definitely relate to her affectionate gesture. I just can't help myself I guess...with the right man, who can resist?

Morale of the story: be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it...

Merry Christmas

Who is to say I am not a festive person? I get just as much in the spirit of the holidays as the next...in my own way. So I would like to present my gift of Christmas 2012 to you.

I am a booty kind of girl, so I prefer this angle. Let's just say it wasn't my most planned out piece. But for those motorboatin' sons of bitches out there, I imagine this one is your cup of tea.

Winged Thing

I was so thankful to receive a second request for a wall piece, this time from my good friend Garrett. Here it is! My winged thing.

It's his tail that really tickles me, imagine that swimming around your neon fish tank...

Botanical Garden

Obviously we can see where my head was at during the making of this naturistic jumble...but can we please bring our focus to the fish at the far bottom right circle? I have no idea how he came to be but I'm so glad he did.

Can you see it? Maybe it's just me...
