Strange Owl

My strange little toothed owl...I finally was beginning to get comfortable with my style with this one. I made sure it was all around cleaner, solid and professional for the books.

I personally see the odd face of a sharp toothed owl but it wasn't my intention, it just happened...what do you see?

Jason

This one is for my friend Jason. It is particularly special to me because it is the first time anyone asked me to make something specifically for them. Half the joy in doing what I do is reaching the hearts of those who are moved by my art, and Jason was.

I don't know why I made it so dragon esc. It was still during the times when I wouldn't make a rough draft with pencil before outlining with ink, I would simply wing it and in this moment I thought "reptile."

this was another name piece. Can you see it? I'll give you a hint...the orange and red zigzags are the "A"

Fox Tail

2suns on trees + Carlsbad Jrs volleyball

I really didn't plan on the outcome of this one, but when I finished all I could see were 2 suns on top of trees.

My cousins Carlsbad Juniors Volleyball T-shirt I had the honor of designing. One of many shirts to come.

More Early Work

My first attempt at colors. Gel pens and Copic markers!

Natasha

My friend Natasha was the inspiration for this piece. I can't believe I forgot to date this one but it was made in early 2010 for her birthday. Still early work, still playing around, but at least discovered Faber Castell ink pens at this point. I find her name to be a bit easier to make out than others but I tried to incorporate that which makes me think "Natasha" and when I think "Natasha" I think "Chronic"

She is one of the chillest girls I know. Really. Don't bother Toosh, she won't bother you. Her famous quote is as follows: "As long as you are not hurting yourself or anyone around you, idgaf." Haha Thus the peace sign.

I had smoke in mind for the most part but one thing I had to include was a snake, they are her FAVORITE. Just kidding, she hates them more than anything but I love them and by fate we always run into some guy with a snake when we are out and about together. So, naturally, I will put the snake on my shoulders and chase her around with it. Well, I was not letting her off the hook this time either. Love ya

YA

As far back as I can remember, I have loved drawing character animation, especially wild cats, girls and foxes. In 2010, I was introduced into the world of trippy art, which took my style into an entirely new direction. The picture you see below was my very first attempt at this. So, naturally, I think it is an appropriate introduction to my work.

So much of the fun in taking on a hobby is watching the slow process of progress. You can see in this one, I used standard notebook paper and BIC round stick ball pens. You know, the ones that sell 60 for $7. There are stains on it, uneven cuts and tears. So messy, so far from perfect, but I love it. This is the one that started it all.

A little about me

Since I could hold a pencil, I've been a traditional artist until 2018 when I was introduced to Clip Studio Paint on the Wacom Intuos and fell in love with digital art. In 2019 I got an iPad now I mainly use Procreate where I focus on animation. I simply strive to live my life doing what I love. I don't know what I would do without my creative outlet.

I draw a variety of things. Basically whatever my mood sees fit at the time, but I will put any idea given to me on paper.

I describe my work as a random mix. The more you explore, the more you will understand Miscellaneous Candy.
